xThe Grubs FROSTLINE 5.0 Boots are insulated and suitable for sustained periods in temperatures down to -10 degrees centigrade. The Grubs FROSTLINE 5.0 Boot has a TRAX sole pattern, with small lugs front & rear to provide a good 'push off' grip and a prominent heel for a 'braking' grip.
The footbed of the Grubs FROSTLINE Wellington Boots has a 6mm Nitrocell providing both insulation & cushioning, promising you a comfortable and lightweight outdoor boot that you will love. For a more durable and hard-wearing boot, the foot and lower calf area of this boot has a 2mm thick layer of tough rubber. This rubber layer protects against damage by brambles etc.

INSU-FOAM ULTRA™
Most GRUBS® Rubber footwear uses our self-insulating INSU-FOAM ULTRA™bootie construction which acts as a neutral medium between the wearer and the outside. The bootie is both waterproof and insulating and exceeds the long-term effectiveness of waterproof membranes and lofted insulations. Our boots are waterproof to EN ISO 20344: 2004 5.7 standard. We use a super stretch Chloroprene material commonly used in Deep sea dry suits, this material has a 300% stretch and is covered with a 4-way stretch knitted nylon jersey which as suggested can expand not only in width but also height. This super stretch means the bootie can stretch up to 150% as a laminate with our SUPER-DRI™, moisture-wicking terry knit lining. INSU-FOAM ULTRA™has a fine micro cellular structure, which stops heat transfer through its structure. The microscopic bubbles of air are so small that it is waterproof even in 3.5mm thickness. INSU-FOAM ULTRA™is super soft and super bouncy, it has a compression set of less than 7% versus 20-25% for other neoprene boots, and they remain soft and comfortable for much longer than our competitors. Other manufacturers use Styrene Butadiene Rubber, SBR, foams that are stiffer and harden over time, SBR also has a larger and more irregular bubble structure, boots made of this material are harder, making them uncomfortable and prone to leak through the bootie.
5.0 TECHNOLOGY™
The Bootie is lined with moisture-wicking SUPER-DRI™ terry knit, which keeps the wearer dry and has a super 100% stretch to fit most calves. As INSU-FOAM ULTRA™ is a temperature-neutral material it will keep the wearer's foot comfortable in a range of 85ºF to sub-zero for a prolonged period.
TRAX™ Sole
TRAX™ Sole, (DURAPRENE™rubber) outsole with HEXZORB™, which gives superior grip on a variety of surfaces, the tread is designed to work with the action of the foot into zones for Grip, Traction, Stability, and breaking.

Please note that our Wellington Boots have a 15mm allowance for wool blend/combination socks.
With this in mind, we would recommend purchasing the same size you are in your everyday comfortable footwear.
For half-sizing due to the allowance we would recommend sizing down.

x30 day Returns & Exchanges
Wylie's Outdoor World's owner 'Drew' handles all returns, and exchanges personally.
We offer a 30-day (from the date of purchase) returns and exchange policy. You may return most new, unopened, unworn, and unused items within 30 days of your order date for a refund or exchange. However you must contact us within 14 days to inform us. (Some items in our store are non-returnable) such as used batteries, and underwear for example. We must be able to resell a product again as brand new. All non defective clothing returns must be returned in exactly the same condition as they were dispatched. Neatly folded, unworn, complete with all original outer packaging and tags attached.
Refunds
You should expect to receive your refund within one week of us receiving our return.
How to request a return
If you need to return an item, simply log in to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu, and click the Return Item(s) button. Please let us know if you would prefer a refund, or an exchange. Drew will confirm your selection and send you an invoice (If applicable for exchanges) and await your return to arrive with us.
Processing Times
Please, allow Drew 3 to 5 days to process your returns or exchanges. However, the "turnaround" time is often faster than this.
Shipping
We ship to UK mainland predominantly. However, we can ship internationally on request.
We use DPD exclusively for all UK orders as standard. We offer free shipping on all orders over £100, orders under £50 are charged a £5.99. (Some long, or overly heavy/large items will vary in shipping cost) and we also offer a Free "Tracked Snail Mail" option that takes an extra couple of working days to arrive.
Dispatch & Delivery Times
Drew also packs customers orders personally. We ask you to allow 2 days to process orders. This allows Drew adequate time to process orders, be the sole point of contact for all our customers, and manage our website. On average delivery time is 3 to 5 working days, or 3 to 6 working days for our Tracked Snail Mail service. However, Drew is quite efficient. Orders are often processed and delivered in a shorter time.

Over the last 15 years or so I have tested many of the Grubs range.
I've never been disappointed yet!
I have an old pair of the (now discontinued) Frostline Camo which is exactly the same boot, it just had a camo pattern. I use them fairly regularly pottering about in the garden, washing the car, long walks with the dogs in the woods during the wet days, in Scotland they are frequent!
As long as you look after them, don't use chemicals to clean them, use the Grubs Revivex, and keep them out of sub-zero temperatures when they are being stored for long periods they will last you for years.
