A SMALL, OUTDOOR SPECIALIST RETAILER, OWNED BY A PROFESSIONAL PRODUCT TESTER
This DD Hammocks Complete Tarp Suspension System has been devised and compiled by our owner and chief product tester Drew Wylie. This DD Complete Tarp Suspension System has everything you need to suspend your tarp and also has some redundancies thrown in for good measure.
This DD Complete Tarp Suspension System will work with any tarp up to 5x5m, the system has been well thought out after 4 nights a week over months of trips in all weather conditions, including nighttime hikes in the pitch black.
The System Includes:
How to use this Hammock Suspension System:
A little quote from Drew "Personally, I prefer a diamond set up with my DD Superlight Hammock and Tarp. It offers me the quickest possible way to set up and take down my tarp either after a long 25-mile hike or in bad weather when the skies have opened up. It obviously requires 2 fixing points for the ridgeline but unlike other configs, it only requires 2 fixing points for the other attachment points, unlike the rectangular setup that requires 4. The diamond config also offers me a great amount of flexibility with minimum adjustments to have one side open, folded back, or down in bad weather."
Setting up your ridgeline before your trip:
Your Tarp is now permanently attached to your ridgeline and ready to be packed into the DD 10L Dry Bag. To do this it is easier to fix your ridgeline to two points. If you have a clothesline in the garden, for example, this will work perfectly.
When the ridgeline is tight, slide the two prussic loops to about 5 cm on each side of the center Tarp loop, and get the air out of the tarp and stuff it into the DD 10L Drybag then coil up one side of the ridgeline and place in the dry bag, then repeat for the other side. If you have a DD Magic Carpet roll the 6 tent pegs in it and push it down, and then sit the shock cord on the top, compress the dry bag and fasten it up.
Wylie's Outdoor World's owner 'Drew' handles all returns, and exchanges personally.
We offer a 30-day (from the date of purchase) returns and exchange policy. You may return most new, unopened, unworn, and unused items within 30 days of your order date for a refund or exchange. (Some items in our store are non-returnable) such as used batteries, and underwear for example. We must be able to resell a product again as brand new.
If you need to return an item, simply log in to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu, and click the Return Item(s) button. Please let us know if you would prefer a refund, or an exchange. Drew will confirm your selection and send you an invoice (If applicable for exchanges) and await your return to arrive with us.
Please, allow Drew 3 to 5 days to process your returns or exchanges. However, the "turnaround" time is often faster than this.
We ship to UK mainland predominantly. However, we can ship internationally on request.
We use DPD exclusively for all UK orders as standard. We offer free shipping on all orders over £100, orders under £100 are charged a £5.99. (Some long, or overly heavy/large items will vary in shipping cost)
Drew also packs customers orders personally. We ask you to allow 2 days to process orders. This allows Drew adequate time to process orders, be the sole point of contact for all our customers, and manage our website. On average delivery time is 3 to 5 working days. However, Drew is quite efficient. Orders are often processed and delivered in a shorter time.
Sizing for all Keela kit
You can find below Keela's range of sizing charts on which their garments are based. These are designed to give you an idea of the fit of our items - but please note that some items are designed to be a tighter or looser fit than others (for example, a technical mountain-expedition jacket will be designed looser to fit required padded layering underneath) - so we give extra fit guidance on the individual product pages, as if the item is designed with extra space but you're not planning on layering, you may want to get a smaller size than normal!
Keela's range is used for everything from running and cycling to conquering mountains, and each item is designed to work best in a specific scenario.
However this can mean that our items fit differently from each other, depending on what you are using them for, and your own personal preferences!
For example if you’re usually a size M and have one of our baselayers in a size M and decide you really MUST have a Munro Jacket for walking your dogs in the pouring rain – if you aren’t planning on wearing multiple bulky layers with the Munro, you’re likely to find the size M too big – this is because it’s designed to survive trips up mountains in the most extreme conditions, where you would need to wear a wicking baselayer, maybe a microfleece, and a thicker fleece or thermal jacket. If you’re not going to wear these layers, you’ll have a lot of extra space!
Still confused? Don’t worry! We’ve added icons to our product pages to let you know how the item fits, and you can follow the extra guidance below to help you decide if you should stick to your normal size, or choose a size up or down.
