If you're looking for a pocket-sized picnic blanket, a groundsheet for camping or at a festival, some dry cover for your gear, or a small overhead shelter - the DD Magic Carpet and DD Magic Carpet XL will do it all.



Essentially a miniature tarp, the DD Hammocks Magic Carpet, and DD Magic Carpet XL have a slim attachment point at each corner that allows it to be pegged to the ground (or tied off to trees/posts), giving you various options. Its stuff sack, attached with a cord, makes it simple and convenient to pack away.

    Delivery Information

    Delivery Time: Most orders arrive within 3 to 5 working days. Drew personally packs and dispatches each order, and in many cases, items are on their way within 1 working day of being placed.

    We ship DD Hammocks products to UK addresses only.

    All UK orders are shipped via DPD as standard.

    Delivery is free on all DD Hammocks, Tarps, and Tents — no minimum spend required. Just add your chosen items to the basket and check out as normal.

    For all other items, orders over £100 qualify for free delivery. Orders under £100 are charged a flat rate of £5.99.

    Note: Oversized or particularly heavy items may carry an additional shipping fee — this will be clearly indicated at checkout.

    Returns & Exchanges

    Drew, the owner of Wylie’s Outdoor World, handles all returns and exchanges personally to ensure everything is dealt with fairly and quickly.

    We offer a 30-day returns and exchange policy (from the date of purchase). If you'd like to return or exchange an item, you must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order.

    Returned items must be in unused condition — as new and fit for resale.

You can request either a refund or an exchange. If an exchange requires a price difference, Drew will send you an invoice before dispatching the replacement.

    Indispensable!

    The DD Hammocks Magic Carpet has been part of my Camping Kit for several years now. It has as many uses as a Shemagh!

    I own both sizes, and I use each in a different way...
    You will see from the product images that I prefer to set my hammock up in a diamond configuration. The regular size suite this propose best. It reduces the rainfall from the tarp "pooling" if you are on uneven ground directly under your hammock. But the square shape of this size does have its other limitations...

    The XL size is the best choice if you often use your tarp in an "A-Frame" configuration, or if you intend on using the Magic carpet as a lightweight ground sheet to sleep on.

    It can also be used as a small shelter in an emergency, a cover for your firewood, or a dog mat, it can be used as a pouch or basket when foraging, you can even use it to collect rainwater.

    It is cheap and versatile. After you use it a few times with your hammock set up you will kick yourself for not buying one sooner!

    I bought 2 x DD Hammocks/Tarp and sleeping bag bundles from Drew at Wylies Outdoor World, the customer service was above and beyond and second to none. Drew actively went the extra mile to save me money on the kits since both came with excess paracord and ridge line, so Drew took the time to reach out call and talk me though my order and explain how he was working to save me a few quid. The delivery was very fast and without any hassle, and well packaged. Even a few years on after making the purchase Drew is more than happy to help and answer any questions and advice and is always a friendly voice and fountain of knowledge at the end of a phone, which is my next point, Wylies Outdoor World is incredibly accessible to all and customer focused.

    Drew tests all the kit he sells, which instantly gives me (the buyer) confidence in the quality of the equipment before buying. 10/10 would buy from Wlyie's again without a seconds thought.

    Having decided on the particular brand of jackets that I wanted, a google search led me to Wylies where, happily, their sale was on. Sadly, I couldn't see the sizes/colours needed, so emailed querying whether they might be in stock, or could be obtained, at what price and how quickly. Although closed for holidays, Drew, the owner, emailed me back almost immediately with options and offers of guidance regarding sizing. Brilliant! So, 29th July I place an online order for one jacket (not in stock at the time) which then arrives on my doorstep on Friday 2nd August. I call that an absolutely ace and very personal service from a company that obviously cares about customer satisfaction.
