The Icefall 40 redefines alpine backpacks especially when it comes to the strength to weight ratio. It’s tailor-made for Alpinists who indulge in their hobby through the whole year and are looking for a reliable and specious backpack that’s easy to handle.

The Icefall offers a lot of space for everything you need on tour. With its hassle-free rolltop and an additional side-zipper, you can quickly grab your things – even if you’re tackling a difficult route.

EXPED put a lot of brains into the Icefall. Thanks to the white, contrasting main material, you can find your things even in the twilight. Our aim is to give Alpinists the best possible performance.

Furthermore, the newly designed fastening straps make fixing your skis or ice axes easy. The big front compartment offers plenty of room for your avalanche equipment. If you want to reduce the weight of your Icefall to the absolute minimum, you can remove the compression straps and other features – the weight loss adds up to an impressive 300 grams.

To make it nearly indestructible, EXPEDs manufactures the Icefall out of bluesign®-certified UHMPE-material (Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene). UHMPE-Ripstop is lightweight, sturdy and tearproof.

30 day Returns & Exchanges

Wylie's Outdoor World's owner 'Drew' handles all returns, and exchanges personally.

We offer a 30-day (from the date of purchase) returns and exchange policy. You may return most new, unopened, unworn, and unused items within 30 days of your order date for a refund or exchange. However you must contact us within 14 days to inform us. (Some items in our store are non-returnable) such as used batteries, and underwear for example. We must be able to resell a product again as brand new.

Refunds

You should expect to receive your refund within one week of us receiving our return. ).

How to request a return

If you need to return an item, simply log in to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu, and click the Return Item(s) button. Please let us know if you would prefer a refund, or an exchange. Drew will confirm your selection and send you an invoice (If applicable for exchanges) and await your return to arrive with us.

Processing Times

Please, allow Drew 3 to 5 days to process your returns or exchanges. However, the "turnaround" time is often faster than this.

Shipping

We ship to UK mainland predominantly. However, we can ship internationally on request.

We use DPD exclusively for all UK orders as standard. We offer free shipping on all orders over £100, orders under £100 are charged a £5.99. (Some long, or overly heavy/large items will vary in shipping cost)

Dispatch & Delivery Times

Drew also packs customers orders personally. We ask you to allow 2 days to process orders. This allows Drew adequate time to process orders, be the sole point of contact for all our customers, and manage our website. On average delivery time is 3 to 5 working days. However, Drew is quite efficient. Orders are often processed and delivered in a shorter time.

Having decided on the particular brand of jackets that I wanted, a google search led me to Wylies where, happily, their sale was on. Sadly, I couldn't see the sizes/colours needed, so emailed querying whether they might be in stock, or could be obtained, at what price and how quickly. Although closed for holidays, Drew, the owner, emailed me back almost immediately with options and offers of guidance regarding sizing. Brilliant! So, 29th July I place an online order for one jacket (not in stock at the time) which then arrives on my doorstep on Friday 2nd August. I call that an absolutely ace and very personal service from a company that obviously cares about customer satisfaction.
